The latest packages (0.6.4a) I built on 4.14 kernel (AFAIK it's Debian 9.5, stretch). You're correct, I should have built on 4.4 kernel instead. The packages built on the old kernel installs and runs on the newer, but obviously not vice versa. > > Do you mean I should use latest image for debian 8, which is Debian 8.10? > For now, the latest image (Debian 9.5, stretch) and installing the linux-headers will solve your problems.
