That;s what I'll need to do. Just sucks that I have to do that for 20,000 tracks. I guess I can run an overnight job and it should be done by morning.

No, nothing exactly like that currently. You could try re-converting stuff from scratch.

Now that this fixed in GIT, is there any way to retag my existing converted files? It would be nice if there was a convert option, that if it finds a file, it tags it and moves on.

OK! Sounds like there might be a bug. Can you file an issue on GitHub with full inputs and outputs pasted in? That is, show the `beet info` output for the original files, show `beet -vv convert` (preferably running in the *default* configuration), and then show `beet info` output for the converted files.

That level of detail will help us reproduce the problem.

Thanks!

Only when transcoding to other formats. I used both Foobar2000 and beet info to check the transcoded file: both had track gain info, but only the original FLAC has album gain info. I'll be happy to provide any other info you need.

I did some command line tests with ffmpeg itself and got mixed results. FLAC->Ogg always copied over album and track RG info. FLAC->MP3 did the same. FLAC->AAC using fdk_aac only seemed to copy track gain info

Hi! Does it work if you use the default configuration? Or when transcoding to other formats?

How are you checking whether the RG info got transferred over? With `beet info`, or some other way?

A little more digging here could go a long way!

I am using the following command line to convert file to AAC in my config, yaml:

ffmpeg -i $source -vn -map 0:0 -c:a libfdk_aac -b:a 256k $dest

Conversion seems to go well, but album ReplayGain info is not being transferred over. Only track gain.
