Not sure what you mean by "do reset". I have had problems where "smart" browsers cached form values that made it hard to know whether my script was setting the values of the browser was (btw, there are usu. settings to disable this behavior in the browser).

I generally leave off reset buttons as they only serve to
confuse/frustrate in my opinion. I prefer cancel buttons that redirect a
user elsewhere.
