Okay, but let's say I want to learn how to do it anyway. It seems like a good practice problem.

So far the options are
a. down load an existing piece of code,
work on understanding how it was built. b. start with the newer WWW::Mechanized and build
from scratch-ish. c. go back to LWP::UserAgent and be serious about
your code creation from ground zero like the
traditionalists are, none of this new fangled stuff d. Start with 'use sockets' and totally skip the
LWP::UserAgent approach so that you have better
control over your network layer, and then opt
to use say LibXml for parsing the html returned.... e. mix and match one or more of the above and opt
to use the HTML and TreeBuilder Solutions from the
CPAN so that you can grow out your core experience
downloading, building and installing various CPAN
modules the old fashion way...
