Somone needs to port it to Solaris - just like darren moffat did the GNOME battery applet: http://blogs.sun.com/darren/entry/gnome_battery_status_meter_for However, it should be much simpler now because acpidrv actually gives out statistics via kstat. You don't need to do ugly ACPI_POWER_STATUS and ACPI_BATTERY_STATUS ioctl()s.
