Hey Avinash,

First things first - Please don't reply to an existing thread when starting
a new topic. It confuses everybody.

The KDE battery applet was written for Linux. Somone needs to port it to
Solaris - just like darren moffat did the GNOME battery applet:
http://blogs.sun.com/darren/entry/gnome_battery_status_meter_for

However, it should be much simpler now because acpidrv actually gives out
statistics via kstat. You don't need to do ugly ACPI_POWER_STATUS and
ACPI_BATTERY_STATUS ioctl()s. Sample this command: "kstat -p -m battery"

Why don't you take it up as a small project and contribute this feature to
belenix ? ;-)
