Hi all:

Something that has often come up on the Belenix discussions is the
need for some artwork. At present, we're using what ever seems
appealing at www.kde-look.org.

Last year, we'd announced a competition seeking desktop themes, but
didn't follow up on that very much as we were caught up with other
things on Belenix and at work.

Some good news :

Happily enough, Irek recently responded to that call, and has offered
his theme. Thanks, Irek, you definitely win something for that ! :)
(See the theme here
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Arezzo?content=84403 and Irek's
mail here :
http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/belenix-discuss/2008-July/000615.html)

Going forward, Belenix needs more artwork. This is in the following areas:
- KDE Desktop themes (preferably those that work with KDE 4)
- Belenix.org website themes - we're using Drupal
- Belenix Logo !

Since Belenix is all about experimentation with radical new features
and showcasing of new technologies, the artistically inclined are more
than welcome to put together their themes and artwork for bundling
with the Belenix CD and on the Belenix website.

So here's a call to everyone:

Please send in pointers to your KDE themes and artwork to the list and
we can all take a look and decide what which of the submitted themes
could be bundled with Belenix and be used for the website. In case you
come across a theme at www.kde-loog.org and think Belenix ought to use
this, then let the list know !

The Belenix community believes in giving credit where it is due, so
let's all make an effort to acknowledge themes created by others and
which we may want to use.

At all times, we're going to ensure that the names of the people
behind the artwork are highlighted. So if you want to showcase your
artwork, then Belenix is your vehicle !

If you know someone who may be interested, let that person know too.
Spread the word !
