I never give up... ... I installed Qemu under WindowsXP.
Then I went on to boot Belenix under Qemu on WinXP. Now - just in case that you don't believe me - I made screenshots. Here we have the boot screen of Belenix (all things are okay): http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=769261370&size=o Now Belenix boots (all things are okay): http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=769261418&size=o (The ^[[209z in the Belenix window is only from me pressing "PrintScr" for the screenshot. It is not a show stopper.) Belenix goes awry (nothing is okay anymore): http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=769261464&size=o >From experience I know that this will not succeed so I stopped the booting. I restarted Belenix under Qemu. But now I give him the boot option "atapi-cd-dma-enabled=0" http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=769261482&size=o Again Belenix goes into nirvana: http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=769261500&size=o http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=769261528&size=o http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=768404067&size=o Just enjoy SXCR with the boot option "atapi-cd-dma-enabled=0". How it successfully boots and goes into the installer - from experience I know that it will successfully install and then I can boot into the virtual system - http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=769284334&size=o http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=769284356&size=o http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=769284366&size=o It is possible that you will interpret my postings here as troll posts. They are not. I just want to know how it could be that SXCR succeeds but Belenix not? And I want to know how Belenix could run under Qemu. What is it that Belenix stops from working under Qemu? How can we - I am ready to help out! - make the edits to get Belenix run under Qemu. regards Gueven
