In the last two or three weeks I again tried to get Belenix run under Qemu on a Linux host.
I installed Slackware 11 and this Qemu package http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slackbuilds/qemu/pkg/11.0/qemu-0.9.0-i486-1.tgz Belenix boots and comes to the point after selecting the GUI and then he goes into scanning devices but then there comes a long error message and it returns to the grub boot screen. Unfortunately the error message is too long _and_ it doesn't stop there returning too fast to the boot screen to write down the error messages - for me it seems just like a kernel oops - . !! If you want then I can make a screenshot and post it here. !! Then I went the "Sidux" road - Sidux is a installable LiveCd of Debian Sid (Unstable) the development branch of Debian -. So I installed Sidux and then this package: http://packages.debian.org/unstable/misc/qemu Again the same failure as above. I just cannot get Belenix run under any environment. It is so frustrating. But I really want to work on Belenix - for example in translating the "hdinstaller" script and some more parts in Belenix - . For this I have to build a test environment where I can install Belenix in a virtual image. Help me, please, help me. regards Gueven
