You are right. Bosug and belenix should not be linked for project organization purposes. Especially since the intention is to setup with a long term view. The repository should be the reference for everyone to check out from and work with. > We'd have to > frame a project request and get it approved - which I know can be > frustrating at times - but it might still involve less effort > than setting up the whole thing from scratch ourselves. > What was being thought of was to setup a mercurial repository on genunix and allow access via https in which case only space would be required on the current belenix site and no other additional requirements. > We will get a lot of things for free - the hosting setup, an > opengrok search interface, a choice of SCMs (Mercurial or > Subversion), etc. > opensolaris.org of course has all the right elements and would suit well. If that is acceptable to the community members at belenix-discuss and osol-discuss this should be ok. Before proceeding with the project proposal, let the thread stay alive till most of the belenix developers respond. This is not quite the same as other projects on opensolaris.org. Not sure what kind of issues the project proposal might bring up (Project reorganizations on opensolaris.org , Indiana discussions, etc). regards Shiv
