Strange. Somehow Konqueror/kwrite dont respond to hotkeys. And evidently
the gtk+ problem would naturally not be visible on KDE and/or if only
KDE-applications are used.
Given that important issues like this come up in fits and starts and
raise their heads like ghosts from the past with people reluctant to
talk, the only solution i see is throwing issues open to vote and then
going by that decision.
No prob with voting. Maybe Salahuddin66 will get the opportunity to setup an
online voting system this time :-)
Important policy decisions require thorough understanding of the
usability and other areas of functionality. Hence in case any such
moves are made I'd request everyone to first chalk out the pros and
cons. imho important policy decisions **if** at all put to vote should
be restricted to core members and not to trolls and bots.
