LOL..... well our 18 week old nearly died at 14 weeks from a bacterial
infection. She has now not only put back the 20% of weight she lost, she has
grown in height and weight. She loves to jump (and no we do not encourage
it), run around, go and peek at the cows next door, visit other dogs, and
demands to be taken for walks when in an appartment. She was sold as a
European stock BMD here in France, said to be strong dogs, suitable as farm
dogs BUT to live indoors as they love people. She plays outside on her own
or with us, for maybe 4 hours a day at the farm and has two 10-15 min walks
a day when at an appartment. She bugs us until she gets her walks then!
I am so glad she lived, adn her increasing size and strength do not seem to
represent the fragile BMD portrayed sometimes. All the info I have found in
Europe says the opposite, strong, vibrant puppies who grow into working dogs
(or family pets who get a lot of outdoor agility type activity).
A very confused first time BMD owner Emma
