Hi, Thanks for all the great replies and comments on bernese living with small dogs. This has given me some good insights. Not something I am going to rush into, but something I am considering for next year. I would like to adopt a rescue dog of a small breed like a sheltie or mixed breed. One that is mature, so that it's personality is known, and hopefully won't tend to adopt my Sophias' bad habits! (eating dirt and burying nylabones between sofa cusions).
