I always love to hear how folks named their dogs, here is how it worked with
some of my guys:
Decker's registered name is Jamars Upper Deck CD, hubby has seasson ticket
upper deck seats for the Lions games (perhaps a better call name would be
'loser')
Keebler's registered name is Joslyns Made by Elves, he is a Std Schn, his
parents are CH.'s with cropped ears, I have always called those elf ears,
Keebler elves... you get the picture...
my first Berner was Griffin, both call and registered name, well, registered
was Griffin of Vines...Am,Can CD, CDX, TT, GDC, TV. I always bragged that he
could say his name (grrrrifff) and write it in the snow, as he always walked
while he peed...
Oscar the barc pup came with that name, kept it, figured he had been thru
enough changes. Little did I know...his name has evolved from Oscar Doodle
(the obedience trainer started that) to Doodle bug to just plain Bug. He is
also Oscar Mayer Weiner Wiegand when he is in trouble, which is seldom, bless
his heart.

Patt Wiegand
