One of my berner boys age 17 months, started biting his paws when he was 
about 6 
months. I thought it was the Frontline, but started experimenting, and 
eliminated
Chicken and there has been a big improvement. I have learned to read all 
labels, because
sometimes even a dog biscuit called Veggie, had chicken in it!
Try a Lamb or Pork food and see what happens. I was lucky the first time 
around.
