Wow! Sure looks like all Berner to me, too. Thanks for noticing this fellow. And the 
shelter called this dog an Border Collie?! Shelter workers are great people who mean 
well and do such wonderful things for abandoned dogs ....but really do not know breeds.

As far as an adult wt of 65 lbs, that is pretty close to my puppy mill/pet shop Berner 
boy Charm, and he has full AKC registration (won High in Trial at the 2003 national 
specialty w/ it!) ....seems that w/ as many BYB and puppy mills as are getting into 
the breed lately, we are going to be seeing a lot more rescue Berners that arent 
exactly perfect representations of the breed standard. 

As they say "to love one Berner is to love them all."   If you cuold probably ILP w/ 
the AKC  it as a Berner, then it IS one (Golden  Retriever Rescue's philosphy on  
shelter rescues.)

No Berners in shelters, period.
