Mack also needs something in his mouth when he greets me. He is usually at the door to say a quick hello and then runs into the living room to get a bone (or his favorite toy - a plastic ham steak). Then he runs around and keeps coming up to me to show me that he has the bone.
It always seems like such a nice gesture on his part - but I have no clue as to why he does this. It must mean something, if so many berners have this same ritual.
