Are you hosting BPS and SQL 2005 on the same box? Also check ur resources to make sure the server isn't being tasked to much. Are you using VMWare server or VMWare ESXi?

We used MSDE on that server. The current server is Windows 2003 Standard 32bit with SQL Server 2005 running under VMWare server with 2GB of memory. The host server has 32GB of memory and is Windows Server 2003 Standard 64bit. All servers are on the same network and in the same physical space. The move was uneventful, however, our users, me included, now see an entirely different behavior on message reconciliation. On the old setup, message reconciliation was almost instantaneous, with very few messages taking a few minutes at the most. Under the new server, messages are taking up to 20 to 30 minutes to reconcile, with 5 or 6 minutes now being "fast". I've researched and I see that the current behavior is supposed to be considered normal. The problem I have is how do I explain that to the boss (who's not happy) when we had much quicker reconciliation the last couple of years?
