They do not resend the policy on schedule after the initial activation. Well, once the device is bound to the BES it is "owned" by that bes. New policies, new encryption keys, etc. Once the device hits the hosted BES those devices will receive whatever is assigned from that BES, overwriting yours. (It sounds like you will probably get a blank DEFAULT policy, but that's just a guess.) You always push something for a policy, even if it is only the Default.
