I had him go in on his Blackberry and all the folders are selected. The same 
thing happened, the first went to the right folder as did the second, but 3-7 
went into the second email folder. He tried an 8th, and it went correctly.

I'll see if I can get a different unit activated, but am starting to wonder if 
it's possibly some sort of mailbox issue. Would running Outlook with the 
/resetfolders switch possibly help.

Folder redirection is too ensure when you move emails out of your inbox the 
blackberry reconciles that change and still allows you to see that email even 
after it's been moved.   That's been my experience with folder redirection.  
You are completely right though on the redirection being a requirement for 
exchange rules.
