Bob
Sorry, I can't help you. The earliest version I have saved is 4.32.2. Moreover, assuming that Rik is correct, this no longer reads the Yahoo data servers correctly. However, I wonder what you mean when you say that the algorithms are no longer that good. Is it because the back-testing is returning lower profit? Only the developer himself could answer this definitively, but I don't see how or why the 'algorithms' (e.g. calculating indicators and their MA crossovers, which generate the buy/sell signals) would have changed. New features (e.g. Multi-AIO, ability to AIO/BT on gain%-per-trade as an alternative to total-gain%) have been added, but the ability to run with the previous AIO/BT 'algorithm', by selecting the relevant options, should still remain intact. To the best of my knowledge, no prior capability has been removed. If the back-testing is returning lower profit, then there could be a number of other contributing reasons: 1. The consistency of data is poor, a Yahoo problem. 2. Prices and patterns in the market, e.g. cycle lengths, volatility, trend consistency, have meanwhile changed. AIO/BT uses a 'moving' data window. 3. The 'before' and 'after' trials are based around differing criteria, e.g. different stocks, different time frames, different parameters entered. And if the developer had actually changed the AIO/BT algorithms, then aside from running AIO/BT using both versions across the same data, and getting different results, how would any of us know for sure? I'm not playing devil's advocate for the sake of it, nor am I trying to persuade you to buy the new version. I'm genuinely curious to know what you mean. If the algorithms have changed, and I could discover exactly how, then I may need to adjust my trading system.
