Hi Bob
Thanks for the feedback.
I totally agree with you regarding consistency and discipline. I don't
use Multi-AIO for that reason. Changing the number of quotes for BT
too frequently (on Multi-AIO's recommendation) doesn't make a lot of
sense to me. In my view that's taking 'curve fitting' to a theoretical
extreme.
Would be interesting to know if/how the developer has changed the
formula for BCI. BCI and ITA are 'black box' indicators, whose formula
is known only to the developer. I prefer to have confirmation from the
other indicators, so I tend to use BBI instead.
Assuming that I understand you correctly, even if one doesn't use
Multi-AIO (i.e. keeps the number of quotes consistent), I would expect
that the BUY/SELL signals would change as AIO's are performed on
subsequent days, since AIO operates on a 'rolling window' of data.
Having the oldest data is excluded from consideration means that AIO
starts with a different set of data points each time, with potentially
different results. I agree that if one takes this further, by using
Multi-AIO to constantly change the number of quotes, the results are
going to be totally erratic, since this is not only changing the data
set, but also the size of the window.
Anyway, thanks again for your comnments.
David
