Hope not! Jerky text is a sign that something's probably wrong
though, especially if you're not scanning. If you can, run with --
perfwarn=0.5 and take note of the messages that appear when you run
into the high mem/jerky text situation.
I've got a 6.5 server that's been running for around 3 days with
light usage (just playing music) and mem usage is around 70M.
