Everything works fine thus far, except that I get my very own mysql zombie when I start slimserver:
I "fixed" this by letting slimserver populate a db inside the main mysql instance. Even so, slimserver eats a lot of memory ... top output: PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 3551 slimserv 6 -10 135m 81m 2740 S 0 4.1 0:04.68 slimserver.pl What on earth does it use 85MB for if the database runs in a seperate process. I seem to remember something like 35-45MB for the all-in-one version (that was on 32bit, though. Is perl that pointer-intensive?). Maybe I'm just hallucinating ...
