I've had 1 or 2 instances were my SB2 in my kitchen would hang or reboot
itself.

I've never seen my SB3 do it.

Wireless reception for the SB2 is probably more marginal.

Anyway, here's what I've seen so far.

1 reboot where the SB2 recycled itself, came back on the network and
continued playing the song at the time of the crash. The song was a VBR
encoded MP3. Playing the same song did not recreate the crash.

1 reboot where the SB locked solid and needed the power cycled to come
back to life. The playlist which came back on SB was 192KBps CBR MP3
encoded a long time ago. However my wife tells me that at the time of
the crash, the player actually playing a playlist of VBR's I encoded
last week. Again the crash was not reproducable by playing the songs in
the playlist.

I checked the Windows event log and found no entries indicating a
server crash.

Last night I ran Slim.exe with output piped to a log file and enabled
some debug options. It ran solid overnight for 8 hours without a
problem playing the VBR & CBR song which had been in the playlist
previously. I've left it on today on random mix and will leave it
running until I replicate a crash. But this could take several days.
