That's not :-/. http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=5650 I think this 
can happen if you install a new SC7 over an existing SC7 from last month or 
older.

By default it will create this folder, unless SC7 has already been installed 
before. I think the recent SC7 (new installer) over earlier SC7 (after the 
renaming, but old installer) case isn't handled well.

Could you please file a new bug for the MySQL issue together with your OS 
version, my.cnf, information about where your prefs folder is stored etc.?
