Thanks Fletch (great work on the rpm/deb builds btw - I'm sure a lot of people will knowingly or unknowingly appreciate the results).
Every thing else has installed under /usr/share/squeezecenter with root:root ownership - should it all be squeezecenter:nogroup ? The scan completed fine and I can see all the music: I don't know if that's some kind of race condition between sc and mysql on startup?
