I don't have SC 7.3 installed, but a few weeks ago I installed SqueezePlay to have a peek. One day I was messing around with SqueezePlay, while at the same time, playing music on my computer through J River Media Center. I have one of those keyboards with built-in media keys, and when I suddenly heard music playing on one of the Squeezeboxes in another room, I realized SqueezePlay was responding to the media keys on my keyboard to control the SB. I didn't do anything to set this up... it just worked. I found that a bit surprising.
