I don't really understand this whole discussion. Admittedly, I've not kept up with the changes in SqueezeCenter because things "just worked" for me but here's my take on this along with some background on how I use it.
I am primarily a SqueezeNetwork user -- 80% of the time on SN, I'd guess, listening to Internet radio (Live365, Pandora, Slacker, etc) more often than anything else. I listen at work using Softsqueeze and at home using my two Squeezeboxes. I want ALL of my interfaces to be able to access the same set of Internet radio stations. When I add a station to the list of stations I like to listen to, I want to have it available on ALL of my devices with no effort on my part. I used to be able to accomplish this -- I simply added a station to my Favorites and it showed up. I don't recall precisely what I did to make this work but I think it derived from a Myfaves plugin. It seems that SC should be able to accomodate both kinds of users -- those who want a different set of Favorites between SC and SN and those like me, who wants to keep them in sync. I realize that a conundrum may exist if a Favorite exists which isn't accessible (a locally stored album, for instance) but that can be handled rather simply by just not playing it or giving a not accessible message.
