So, several people went to the trouble of writing a bug report for the rather critical problem in Mac OS X:
No control at all of sound output, as SP ignores the standard OS sound preference settings. What do we get for our troubles? Reports marked as duplicate; no hint of urgency; and a 'promise' of a 'future' fix. This is pretty shoddy.
