hm, sorry, to disappoint You, but it should be caused by the firmware for it never showed this behavviour before.
Yesterday I had to do a factory reset to get the r8965 running. Today it updated to r8978 ... and after re-boot, it hung again - didn't react on remote, nor on touchscreen. Only another factory reset "revived" it ...
