Well, phooey. I ran the cleanup on 7.5.5, uninstalled it, and installed 7.6, but it won't start. It keeps trying to start and I see the service running for a few seconds, but it keeps closing. I'm trying the "safe mode" option in the control panel and it still won't run. The only thing I see in the log is this:
