Sorry. My dysgraphia (broken cerebral hardware) is at its worst late at
night, and my posts tend to be unfathomably cryptic. I should know
better after more than 20 years on Usenet, but I still get these little
bursts of enthusiasm...

My point was that, in Windows Idiot Mode, without any indication that
SBS is still rescanning my collection, and assuming I don't know (or
care?) how to look at the scanner progress, it's quite likely that I'm
going to yell and scream about "empty collections". 

I have no intention of using Windows for anything other than a test.
Once the scan is done (70% in 17 hours right now) I'll reboot the same
box with some other OS. There are a few other SBS users here at work
(University IT Dept) and I've been asked which is the best set up for
running SBS on a SFF PC + NAS combo. 

As for UNC... well, when it comes to Windows, I'm happily ignorant.
