I just installed (clean install) Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.0 - r33231 @ Sat Aug 27 03:04:38 PDT 2011 on a Windows XP Pro system. The main reason I updated was to wee if any improvements had been made with the handling of cue sheets. In my case the answer is a resounding NO. In any folder that I have a music file and a cue sheet, the only option is to save it to favorites. I have cleared the cache in my browser and rescanned my music library with no improvement.
There has always been a problem with cue sheets with hyphens in the file name on my system. I finally gave up and renamed my files and cue sheet to get rid of these.
