Official work on the SB line has ended. I try to squeeze in whatever
fix/improvement I can. But my resources are limited.

is it safe to install LMS 7.8 for windows7 over top of an existing 7.7
install? or should i uninstall 7.7 first? if yes, should i uninstall
all the prefs and everything, totally clean?
That's rather "if no", isn't it?
Backup your installation (which you've done anyway last night, right?)
to be sure, then install 7.8 on top of 7.7. I'm switching between
versions all the time. Sometimes several times a day. No need to
uninstall anything.
