Thanks. Just to be clear. Where would I need to add such format definition? In the install.xml file ? Is there any example for that? Beside such format declaration, there is nevertheless the need for changes on the serverside, right?
That would probably best be discussed in its own thread in the developers forum. Your plugin would have to provide a types.conf and convert.conf addition, plus binaries required to do the transcoding (if needed).
IMHO this should be possible without a change to the core code base. It has been done before for formats like RealPlayer (when this was still a common format...)
