BM has started taking shape recently. There were a lot of thought processes flowing in this forum before. Many brainstorming sessions happened. It went on and on with little action in place by members. Dr. Akalpita (President of BM) was tired of this process. She was continuing her social work at grass root and still doing it till date. Most of the time spending own money and also with support of few generous members. Few other members too are too working hard (Mayank is one I know). So now we have decided to actively support this mission. The intention of this group is not just to contest Elections. Though its the part of the process. But there are many activities that we need to start. I have taken this initiative after discussion with Akalpita. I am one of the group moderator as well. I invite more members to join hands. Those who have experience to take lead should take step forward. Others who are unsure about what exactly to do, stay tuned and participate in group meetings. We shall be able to announce at least a blueprint by end of this month. Its not necessary to plan some BIG activities, we can start small. The most important activities we should undertake that addresses people's concerns. some critical one are - #1. Job creation #2. Education for children from low income group families #3. Bridging Urban - Rural gap #4. Addressing problems of senior citizens #5. General Health care - In rural areas, Guidance and awareness for families with less educated families #6. Initiate programs that will help spreading word about BM in non-Internet users (Majority population) #7. Generate revenue for BM operations There are social issues like - #1. Creating awareness among voters about value of their votes #2. Making ppl understand how corruption, black money is damaging our country and people #3. Legal assistance for common people #4. Eradicate corruption #5. Educate children on social values, discipline so they will help to change future of this nation The most imp is we should start with one thing and keep on expanding our activities. Most of us are serious about this mission. This is not a typical political party where people gather to reap benefits from politics for selfish reasons. So there are not too many hierarchies created yet. We shall create them based on our roles and dedication of people towards work. I suggest we can gather on yahoo voice chat on Saturday. All eager members can join too. If Dr. Akalpita is available she will address to group. Each of us should get ready with some inputs on what we can do.
