It’s just not the question of a corrupt IPS officer but it goes in a much larger context. It shows various loop-holes in our judiciary system, and casts light on the ability and desire of the judge to deliver the justice. What made the judge to issue a punishment of just 6 months (when at most 2 year sentence could be given in a molestation case) and a fine of 10 000 Rs? Our judicial system is archaic and it needs a huge reform. At the same time, judges decision should also be put under RTI, so that we should have power to judge our judges otherwise our democracy will remain an oligarchic one and people with high position will commit crime and will move on scot-free.
