*Dear all, I need all of your help to educate people to follow traffic rules and to make them understand why it is necessary.
Problem: *Bhiwandi is highly populous city. It is around 23 KMs from Thane and around 15 KMs fro Kalyan. Bhiwandi has mother warehouse of almost every single logistic companies and corporate companies in Mumbai.It is an unplanned city which was earlier an industrial city now turning up as a residential. People here are not following traffic rules such as not wearing helmets, not carrying fitness and driving certificates with them, driving vehicle in wrong lane, 3-4 person in a two wheeler, tankers and trucks as well as auto rickshaws are without fitness certificate. This can lead to serious problem in future. Even now, if there is traffic jam (as it happens usually due to heavy loads of trucks for warehousing and logistics activities) it takes 2 to 4 hours to reach Bhiwandi from Thane instead of 35 minutes. Bhiwandi City Traffic police department is facing resistance from people and due to lack of manpower, they are not able to handle it properly and has sought helps from NGO. I am trying my level best to contact all NGOs, as of now I have spoken to one person from Maharashtra Telugu Manch and hope their support, also I have spoken to Gayatri Parivar. However need is large I have already submitted volunteer requirement form at Karmayog but not got any response. To make this city better and to educate people that following rules are better for us only, I need lot of volunteers The requirement is is around 500. * Action Plan:* These volunteer will be divided into group and placed different part of the city. Those who are not following traffic rules, we need to convince them that why it is necessary to follow these rules and how it is going to help save their lives, other people's live as well as to improve image of the city.
