We are looking for scholars who can develop project proposal and research proposal ( social action / experimental research ) for a unique concept starting with " Gandhi College of Social Work" as project "DREAM RAINBOW" What is project : Dream Rainbow Project is an collective initiative of UCP-SARnet and ACT , to establish the first ever college of social work in Bihar , called Gandhi College of Social Work in West Champran, Bihar, India. This college suppose to work with unique and different approached with focus on Gandhiji's self sustain model. What are unique features going to make this college different from others : 1. College will run integrated course of BA & MA in Social Work (5 years course with 1 year paid full time job with college) 2. Course will be divided into 70% (practical) and 30% ( theory ) ratio. 3. Student will be assigned in a panchyat , the day they will enrol for course, where they will implement and experiment with all theory , concept , skill , knowledge. 4. Student will get their degree based on their practical work in panchyat based on different major able indicator of development. 5. All students will work based on integrated social work approach to empower community through local resource mobilization and strengthening and capacity building of people and Govts. System. This project aims to provide better opportunities to the rural youth in the neighbourhood of Gaunaha,West Champran, Bihar and Parsa District, Nepal. Who are marginalized, vulnerable, and without opportunities for higher education beyond the 10th grade. The college will train individuals to become development professionals / professional social worker and act as change agents for local communities. The curriculum will encourage innovative ideas and move beyond theory toward practical experiences directly with rural communities, with focus on social action research. The community-based college will contribute to the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals of ending poverty and hunger, universal education, gender equality, child health, maternal health, combating HIV/AIDS, environmental sustainability, and global partnerships. Above mention initiative is DREAM Project , I am sure it is difficult task however I am committed to set this model on land of Gandhiji , from where he started INDIGO MOVEMENT. College will start its first batch from 2 October 2012. However we are already in the field and inaugurating our college community mobilization drive from 2nd October 2010. We are looking for individuals who may interested to work on above concept and help me to establish this unique college in one of the most backward block district in Bihar. Need support help as below : 1. Development of Project Proposal. 2. Development of Social Action / Experimental Research Proposal 3. Curriculum Development 4. Course Material Preparation 5. Review and evaluation of course available in different college of social work 6. Day to day activities plan for students ( BSW-1 , BSW -2 , BSW-3 , MSW-1 & MSW-2 ) 7. Promotion and Publicity of College 8. Networking and Collaboration 9. Preparation, Planning and Co-ordination of Inauguration and International Conference 2nd Oct 2012. "Development through Peace and Non-Violence". participants from across globe , which are running gandhian, peace and non-violence study. 10. Preparation, Planning and Co-ordination of International Conference , evaluation and review of College , in 2015 . "BEYOND MDG-2015" participants from all UN's country. You may work from wherever you are on part time basis, we may provide small amount of your hard work with recognitions of your efforts at all possible platform and place.
