Is the question that, if you are in BD and you come across a paper  
you've filed there, how can you get the notes? I think then it's just  
that, if the paper is attached to its record, you open it in skim from  
the BD record, and then, as Christiaan suggests, export the notes from  
skim.

Maybe you're asking, how to do you attach a PDF or other document to a  
BD record?
