Nice bike Steve.

I believe the rack they've shipped me is the stainless steel one -- at
least that's what Chris charged me. I'm getting the full front rack
with integrated decaleur, (and an Ostrich handlebar bag to go with
it). I'll have to drill the tangs that mount to the upper eyelets on
the front dropout and the tang that goes to the fender daruma.

I'll go buy a better drill bit and hacksaw blade before I start.

I'm assuming that if I trim and file the tang on a stainless steel
rack, then I won't have to worry about rust, but that trimming the
tang on a carbon steel rack would cause rust along the cut if it is
not protected in some way.

Thanks everyone. I'll try to post an installation story, with
pictures, on my blog. I write more about being carfree and family
life than about my bikes. It's about time for a bike story. The
fenders, rack, and bag are a Christmas present from my wife, so she's
threatening to wrap them and put them under the tree when they show
up, so it looks like I'll have to wait until after Christmas to put it
all together.
