Although nothing has happened yet on it, besides the detour signs blocking the way and some yahoo from Fox Construction driving down the length of the path for no apparent reason, I'm getting the hint that that sewer construction is upon us. I thought we had been promised (I hate to use that term of course) that the detour route, East Main, would be patched before the bike path was closed. The 700 block of East Main is, in its current state, unsuitable for bicycling because of all the potholes and street collapse. Why do we keep some promises that we don't want kept and others broken that we do want kept? I'd recommend some quick patching. 700 is the worst and 800 is bad as well, but not as bad. 900 and 1000 blocks are fine.
