Martin,

I'm probably the best person to contact regarding
snow/bike parking issues on campus. I usually work
directly with folks at the UW Physical Plant - who
actually do the plowing - to resolve problem areas.
I'll certainly pass this info along ....it is REALLY
helpful to have this kind of specific location info
for their use.

For general reference, individual building managers are
also good people to contact about maintenance issues
(sidewalks/steps adjacent to building and/or indoor specific
things). UW employees also have the option of contacting
Physical Plant directly about campus maintenance issues
(anything from pot holes to broken door handles)....the
general ('CARS') service number is 263-3333.

Subject: [Bikies] UW Bike Parking/Snow Problems

I park at three seperate places on campus during the
week: Memorial Library (the north side of the
buliding), the Mills St. entrance of Noland Hall and
the east side of Birge hall. Ever since the last nig
snow fall these racks and the areas surrounding them
have been untouched by anyone having anything to do
with snow removal. i'm up to my shins in snow when i
lock up and three feet away is a perfectly cleared
sidewalk.

Alison, or anyone else, is there someone I can email
directly about this?

-Martin
