This morning on 620 News Radio in Milwaukee Charley Sykes and almost every caller sided with the doored biker here in Madison. For the most part they didn't think everyone was being treated equally.
Charley cited due care when opening a door. He was surprised by not only the "obscure" 3- foot law but that there was no law on opening car doors into traffic. One woman said she doored a car a few years ago and paid all the bills. She didn't think it was fair the biker got the blame in this case. A Milwaukee city bus driver stated he's been doored by a number of cars and it was never his fault. Looks like the biking community has an issue that even Charley Sykes and the motoring public agree with.
