The 2008 Ironman Wisconsin is coming up Sunday, Sept 7th. The marathon needs
your help. I've been coordinating the Run Course Marshals for the last 4 yrs.
The role is to make sure the prospective Ironpeople stay on course and finish.
At some intersections there is handling of pedestrians as well.
IronmanWisconsin.com provides a link to signing up to be a volunteer and a
wealth of other information about the event. I suggest you check out the
opportunities in my second shift: 3:45-8 pm. The majority of the athletes will
be on course now.
As bicyclists we don't have to worry about parking, as it can be with you,
for the most part, at your selected intersection.
I hope you'll consider joining my team this year.
