Paul T. O'Leary's "poor man's alignment guide" was actually the impetus for my thoughts on reflective tape. At times, after I've realigned my cheap little LED that had slipped too low, I notice how brightly traffic signs are flashing (i.e. I adjusted the light too high).

If my little light is that effectively reflected by the reflective stuff on signs, I figure that I can make a pretty reflective "bike" sign by taping my frame. I think I'll go with a 2" strip of reflexite orange (http://www.identi-tape.com/hi-intensity.htm) and see if I can get both sides of my frame with it. The orange should contrast with the snow in daylight, and at night I could just aim my own light at the frame to make it blink for everyone.

Reflective stuff is great, as long as there's a light source somewhere.
