Mitchell, Don't forget about the development or jobs created when that Bike Path that is fairly inexpensive to create and has limited direct job creation, if any is done...but what happens as a result of that trail being there...Elroy-Sparta is a draw in it's own right...and several stores, restaurants, b n b's and other ancilliary businesses make their margin (hopefully!) on the customers that lil ol bike trail with the long cool(and wet) tunnels brings! There is no one project magic elixer...nothing solves all issues and needs...but progress is progress...many of repub tommy t's supporters in Elroy will attest to the power of a trail. That's why linking the Badger Trail to the largest end with services and residents at the Fitchburg end makes so much sense....I overheard a conversation today about someone who is looking into connecting the trail along 12 to the Old 400 in Reedsburg...pretty soon we'll be able to traverse the east/west route of the state perhaps by bike trail? Now that would be cool to do...and try to do in one day!
