Don't forget this tonight!

Ann has been great about tying her coffee shop, Cafe Zoma, to all things bike--it was a bike path treasure that will be very much missed. The neighborhood has banded together to try to help out.

I hope to see a few bikies there tonight!

Flock together for an evening of Eastside music, food and community. "A
Taste of the Eastside", is a benefit and appreciation for Ann Freiwald,
Owner of Café Zoma. For years Café Zoma served up coffee and community
in our neighborhood and now it is our turn to return the favor. Our goal
is to raise $10,000 to assist Ann during this transition time. A sliding
scale for entry is $10-$10,000.

Join us for a night of live music featuring: the Kenland Band, DJ Andy
Larson of Isthmus Entertainment, Harmony Bar Bluegrass Jan Pickers,
Peter Leidy, and Ann Christoffer and Primal Rhythm. More bands may be
added leading up to the event.

Tasty dishes, treats and drinks will be served up by some of the best
local restaurants around. Restaurants include: Monty's Blue Plate Diner,
Bunky's Café, Glass Nickel, Tex Tubbs Taco Palace, Chocolate Shop Ice
cream, Lazy Janes, Willy St. Co-op, Alchemy, Dobhan, Wilson's Bar and
Grill, El Dorado, Pavlov's, Africina, Roman Candle, Java Cat, Bon
Appetite, Harmony Bar and Ground Zero.

A silent auction will take place throughout the evening, with the money
raised going to Ann's employees who lost their jobs when the café
closed. Some of the auction items include: Gift certificates from Sala
Thai, Natt Spil, Swim West, Capital Kids, and La Rocca's; Crono Metro
Gift Pack, bad dog frida, Gail Ambrosius Gift Pack, Happy Bambino
Membership and gift certificate, Winter Gift Pack, Elmside Neighborhood
Addition Poster donated by Sarah White, Absolutely Art framed print and
gift certificate; Paintings and art items by Laura Meddaugh, Phil
Porter, Tamara Tsurkan, Victoria Straughn, GOOSEPRINTS, and Saddle
Soaps; 1 Week Stay at Casa de Piedra donated by Norah Cashin worth $395
and a DJ Party Pack worth $1,000. More items are added daily. Thank you
