Which ones are they, Tim? It would be interesting to me, at least, to see
on how they rate compared to others.

I can think of several bike paths that need repaving more than that one.

City is completely repaving the Starkweather Creek path, from Shoko Drive to
Anderson St. Construction should begin today and the contractor (Tri-County
Paving) has 30 calendar days to complete and reopen the path. The bridge
over Aberg is closed because the path on the north side will be under
construction in both directions. The contractor has posted a detour for this
using E Washington. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a very good
alternative route to this important path. We are sorry for the
inconvenience and hoe to get this path back in service, better than ever.

Any questions can be directed to me in City Engineering or Mark Winter in
Traffic Engineering

I noticed the detour signs too when I was headed that way today, and chose
to ignore the detour signs and check it out for myself. I asked a bicyclist
coming the other way what was up with the bridge, and he said he had no
idea--it was perfectly usable. Can someone with the city explain what's up
with the bridge over Aberg?

I was over by MATC today and noticed that the Starkweather Creek path was
closed, and a detour posted. Anybody know the scoop on what and how long?
I'd hate to lose it for ling since it's my main commuter route, and took
over as my exercise route this summer with Woodland closed down

Thanks
 Bill
