The path is open between North Shore and Olin Park / Olin-Turville Ct. The bicycle detour uses the Wingra Creek Path under John Nolen Drive. The railroad was also going to provide a gravel crossing of the tracks at Olin Ave for bicyclists and walkers, so you can at least walk your bike across if you wanted to.
